Sid is a 14-year-old male Domestic Short Hair with a large build and a beautiful buff/tan coat. He is neutered and has his vaccinations up to date. Although he enjoys some daily enrichment and exploration, he's best suited for a calm, adult-only home. Sid is not house trained yet, but with time and patience, he will find his place.

About Sid

Meet Sid! This handsome senior guy has recently joined our care after his previous family faced housing issues. Sid is a sensitive soul who thrives on consistency. He seeks a calm home where he can settle in at his own pace, sharing plenty of naptime and snuggles when he feels ready. While you might not fully gauge his personality upon first meeting, you'll experience the joy of building trust over time and watching him blossom in a safe environment. When he’s comfortable enough to play, he prefers quiet toys like tennis balls and avoids anything noisy. Once settled, he'll need encouragement to explore his new home while considering any age-related mobility limitations. Adding cat shelves or trees can provide him with safe, elevated spaces to explore and feel confident. Because of his history, Sid has shown signs of stress around other cats and kids. He would thrive best in a home with adults only, or possibly older, respectful children. Sid has been fine living with a mellow, cat-savvy dog, but other felines might not be a good match. If you think you could provide the environment he needs, visit our Adoption Center to learn more about making Sid your next best friend!
