About Daisy

Daisy had a rough start to life. Found in a box on the side of a road on a scorching 100-degree day, she still manages to offer so much love. This sweet girl adores her people and is happiest when she can snuggle up in your arms. Once she feels secure, her playful and loving personality truly shines. A simple request for kisses often leads to an adorable head tilt followed by her rushing over for affection. As she navigates the world around her, new people and experiences can be overwhelming. Patience and support will help her build trust, and she'll need a confident, understanding family willing to guide her through this journey. Daisy is energetic like many puppies and enjoys playtime with her canine companions. She currently lives with a 9-year-old Lab mix and a 1-year-old Lab, thriving in their respectful company. To help build good habits, she'll benefit from continued positive training and supervised interactions. Daisy is also on her way to developing leash confidence. The outside world can be intimidating, and she’ll appreciate a gentle approach to help her adjust at her pace. Progress is being made in her potty training as well! While she has plenty of puppy energy, she also knows how to settle down when it’s time to relax. She may whine a bit when first getting into her kennel, but she usually calms down quickly. Her new family should help her feel comfortable in her space while teaching her boundaries with other pets. Daisy will thrive best in a home with older, calm, dog-savvy children as she continues to build confidence. Families should avoid young kids for now, specifically those under 12. Her adopters should be ready to work on confidence-building and managing resource guarding, as she can be possessive of her food and toys around pets. Yet, she gets along well with her foster cat and enjoys their company. This young puppy has so much growth ahead of her. After such a challenging start, she deserves a family that will provide the time, love, and reassurance she needs. With gentle guidance and consistency, Daisy can become an amazing companion. Could you be the one to show her what life can truly be?
