About Mida

Mida is a 7-year-old Yorkshire Terrier who recently came to the Chesterfield Square-South LA Shelter after her owner surrendered her. On August 4, she became a Frosted Face, and soon after, she went on a Frosted Field trip to enjoy the comforts of a loving home. At just under 9 pounds, Mida is a tiny, delicate girl with a gentle, mellow personality. Her favorite pastimes include napping, following her person around, and curling up on laps. She's quick to bond, showcasing her devotion as a companion. Known as a professional cuddler, Mida loves sleeping beside her foster mom and is content to relax nearby during TV time or while on the patio. Treats are a surefire way to win her affection; she enjoys canned food, Canidae kibble, eggs, cottage cheese, and little bits of cheese. Mida carries some weakness in her hind legs, so shorter walks and extra care around steps are best for her. Although she can use doggie stairs, some heights can be a challenge for her. She's also a bit hard of hearing, so gentle approaches work wonders. In her foster home, Mida harmoniously coexisted with two female Chihuahua mixes and a parrot. She's a sweet little shadow who craves closeness and would thrive in a calm environment where her new family understands her gentle nature.
