About Toasty
Meet Toasty! At just 14 weeks old, Toasty has faced challenges few puppies should ever endure. Found trapped and extremely thin, she was suffering from a severe burn on her back, likely from a chemical injury. Fortunately, she’s now in the care of The Asher House, where she is healing and discovering what it means to feel safe. Toasty thrives in the company of other dogs and finds comfort among them. She interacts well with her dog friends and would greatly benefit from having a confident canine companion in her future home. With people, Toasty is sweet and gentle, still learning to trust human hands. She approaches those she feels comfortable with, but can be nervous when picked up. Given her past, she needs kindness and patience to help her build trust. When she’s happy, Toasty expresses herself with joyful wiggles and a delightful puppy smile that can warm any heart. As she continues to grow stronger and more confident, she is waiting for a loving home to show her that life is good and people can be gentle. Soon, the burn on her back will be merely a part of her history, overshadowed by her charming personality and her many dog friends. Apply to meet Toasty today!
