About Baxter
Baxter is a 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix and a big softie at 80 pounds. He adores snuggling, giving kisses, and going on short walks to explore everything. While he can be a bit anxious at times, he thrives with a patient and kind owner who can also engage him in play. Tug of war is his favorite, and although he hasn’t quite figured out fetch, he’s eager to learn. Living with an 18-month-old sister has been great for Baxter, but he would prefer a home without young children under 12, as they make him a bit nervous. He’s social with other friendly dogs and does well around cats, though he would benefit from a feline friend that enjoys large dogs. Baxter was crate trained as a puppy but has had some adjustments recently. He would need a patient owner willing to help him get used to a crate again. He listens well and responds to training, especially when treats are involved. This lovable boy is a homebody at heart and isn’t fond of car rides. He’d rather stay home cuddling than go on an adventure. He doesn’t require any special dog food but prefers his meals topped with tasty additions like Blue Buffalo meatballs or plain Greek yogurt. If you’re looking for a lovable companion, Baxter is ready to become your new best friend. Sniff you soon!
