About Gordo
Meet Gordo, a 3-year-old Pit Bull Terrier with a remarkable comeback story. Just a while back, Gordo was found emaciated and fighting to survive, but he never gave up. Now, he’s healthy and full of joy, showing us how transformative a second chance can be. This sturdy boy just wants a life filled with love, comfort, and a sprinkle of fun. Although Gordo is a sweetheart, he prefers slow introductions to new people. He may not jump into your arms right away, but with treats and a calm approach, you’ll unveil his true character: a sweet, loyal companion who becomes devoted once he trusts you. One of his favorite activities? Water! Whether it’s playing in a hose or splashing in a kiddie pool, Gordo can’t resist the chance to get wet, turning from gentleman to professional splasher in moments. Gordo thrives in an adult-only home without other dogs where he can take his time to settle in. He’s not suited for hustle and bustle; rather, he’s looking for someone who understands that real trust is built gradually. If you're ready for a loyal friend who needs a little patience and a few snacks to fall in love, Gordo is waiting for you. All our dogs come fully vetted and ready for their next chapter! Adoption includes age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, a microchip, spay/neuter (completed prior to adoption), and a heartworm test if old enough. Ready to meet your match?
