About Honey the sweet
Meet Honey, a gentle girl in search of her safe haven. This sweet two-year-old weighs about 13 pounds and lives up to her name. Though she's loving and docile, she needs a little time to warm up to new surroundings and unfamiliar faces. Her sensitive nature means she might take a while to truly feel at home, but once she trusts you, her affectionate side shines through. Honey has experience living with other small dogs and cats, making her adaptable and friendly. A confident furry companion could help her adjust in her new home. She's both house trained and crate trained, though she might voice her opinions on crate time from time to time! Her leash training is in progress, so potential adopters should be ready to continue working with her patiently. Rescued from Texas, Honey is now looking for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states, allowing you a couple of weeks to see if she's the right match for you. If necessary, her rescue will help find an alternative home to ensure everyone feels supported. Transport runs every other weekend, with pickup locations including Winchester, VA, East Hartford, CT, and Brattleboro, VT. If you feel a connection with Honey, she can't wait to meet you!
