About Luke

Luke may be an older boy, but he’s still active whenever he gets the chance. His passion for balls is unmatched; whether he’s chasing or chewing, they keep him entertained for hours. He does slip collars, so it’s crucial for him to wear a harness during outdoor play. This gentle giant is friendly with both kids and dogs, although he prefers playmates that are not overly pushy. Luke likely has past experiences as an outdoor dog, so he tends to mark new environments. While he's stopped marking indoors, there's a chance he might try it in a new home. Having come to us heartworm positive, Luke has successfully completed treatment and has been on preventative care since. At about 9 years old, he has been fully vetted and comes with a registered microchip. Luke loves his meals and could stand to lose 10-15 pounds for improved joint health. Our dogs are fostered in Texas but can be adopted and transported out of state. We hold video calls for adoption interviews and finalize contracts prior to transport. The adoption fee is $175, covering all necessary vaccinations, spay/neuter, and a health exam before departure.
