Houston is a delightful 13-week-old Australian Shepherd who found himself in rescue through no fault of his own. His previous owners realized that an Aussie puppy didn’t fit their lifestyle. This little guy is confident, friendly, and full of energy. He adores dogs, cats, and people of all ages. Houston is crate-trained, learning leash skills, and mastering basic commands. He enjoys car rides and has settled beautifully into his foster home, especially bonding with his Labrador foster brother. For this reason, a home with another dog would be ideal. Being a typical Aussie, Houston thrives on exercise, training, and mental stimulation. His fully grown weight is expected to be around 40 pounds, so adopters should be knowledgeable about the needs of working breeds. LowCountry Animal Rescue adopts only within a two-hour radius of the tri-county area, with exceptions for seniors or hard-to-place dogs. If you’re considering adopting, please note the adoption fee of $695 covers all vetting, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, and microchip.
