About Artie

Artie is a delightful 3-year-old spayed female Terrier mix who currently resides in San Antonio, Texas, and is ready for her next adventure. This high-energy girl brings enthusiasm to everything she does, whether it's playing fetch, running in the yard, or zooming around with her favorite toys. She's affectionate and has a knack for making friends, greeting newcomers with excitement and a wagging tail. Artie thrives in active homes and would excel with families who enjoy walks and outdoor activities. She has shown she can get along well with large dogs in her foster home, though she benefits from slow introductions. Although she is a playful spirit, she can be protective of her toys initially, but she quickly settles. Continued training will help her polish her manners, especially when on a leash, as she can be vocal when spotting other dogs. Having mastered house training and crate training, Artie is familiar with sleeping in her crate and can stay there for about 4–6 hours during the day. While she may express some curiosity and slight whines, she settles well after a bit. Her ideal home is active and patient, ready to help her with ongoing training to learn calmness and toy sharing. Though she hasn't yet interacted with cats or children, her friendly nature suggests she could adapt well with proper introductions. A yard or open space would be a big plus, and while she doesn’t require another dog, she would likely enjoy a playful canine companion. Artie is looking for her forever family who is ready to embrace her fun-loving spirit. If you're ready for some laughter and love, Artie will be there to keep you company after an active day.
