Meet Honey, a gentle girl looking for her safe place. Honey is a sweet, 2-year-old lady who weighs about 13 pounds. True to her name, she's loving, docile, and incredibly sweet, yet sensitive. She needs a little time to feel at home in new surroundings. Unfamiliar places and people can be intimidating for her, but with patience, you'll see her loving side emerge. Having previously lived with several small dogs and cats, Honey did wonderfully in that bustling home. She's great with both dogs and cats, so a friendly, confident companion could help her adapt in her new environment. Honey is house trained and crate trained, although she’ll let you know her feelings about being crated sometimes! Her leash skills are still developing, so expect to practice patiently with her. Rescued from Texas, Honey is eager for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states. This means you can try out routines and get to know each other over 2 to 3 weeks without pressure. If it doesn't feel right, the rescue will find her another suitable home. Transport runs every other weekend with pickups in Winchester, VA, East Hartford, CT, and Brattleboro, VT.
