About Moon Pie
Moon Pie is a five-year-old female Cane Corso who's as affectionate as they come. With her stunning blue-grey coat, amber eyes, and a unique white stripe down her chest, she catches the eye right away. She's a gentle giant, happily pushing her big head into your hand, encouraging you to shower her with love and attention. Having come to us a bit underweight, Moon Pie has clearly had her share of challenges, having spent years caring for her litters. Now, her main focus is simply being your companion. She thrives on connection and looks up at her handler with a trusting gaze, eager for direction. Good news for current dog owners: she gets along well with other dogs, making her fit for a multi-pet household. There are a few things to keep in mind. Moon Pie is currently battling demodex mange, a non-contagious skin condition, and this will require some time for her coat to fully recover. Weβre not sure yet how she interacts with cats or children, and her house training status is still unknown. To meet this lovely girl, we strongly recommend scheduling an appointment. The shelter's hours are Monday through Friday, from 12 pm to 4 pm, with potential availability outside those hours depending on volunteers. Email adoptpetersburg@gmail.com to arrange a visit or to ask any additional questions. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
