Opal
AvailableOpal is a large adult female Himalayan cat with a long cream coat. She is house trained and eager for a dedicated home where grooming is part of the routine. Currently located in Petersburg, VA, she is gentle and friendly with other cats. Although not yet altered or vaccinated, Opal is looking for her forever home.
About Opal
Opal enjoys curling up into a soft, round ball, her paws tucked away as she observes her surroundings with calm blue eyes. This Himalayan beauty sports a long cream coat adorned with soft gray tabby stripes across her face and darker points on her ears, giving her a majestic appearance that seems fuller due to all that fluffy fur. She joined us as a stray and has quickly proven to be a gentle and affectionate companion. Ideal for a quieter home, Opal loves to settle in with her people, making her a perfect partner for those who appreciate a serene buddy for their couch. She has a friendly disposition, especially toward other cats, so she would blend nicely into a household already having feline friends. Potential adopters should note that Himalayans require regular grooming to prevent matting, and Opal will need brushing every day or two. Due to this grooming requirement, we seek a family willing to incorporate it into their routine. We haven't assessed how she interacts with dogs or young children. To meet Opal, please set up an appointment during our open hours, Monday through Friday, from 12 PM to 4 PM. There may be additional availability based on our volunteer schedule. Email adoptpetersburg@gmail.com for more details or to arrange a visit.
