Millie is a sweet girl who loves to play fetch, especially that part where she chases after the ball while you retrieve it. She's a little shy and isn't quite comfortable being left alone in new situations. Millie would greatly appreciate assistance in transitioning to her new home. Utilizing treats, creating safe spaces, providing sniffer mats, and Kong toys can be excellent tools to help her adjust. The staff from our Behavior team have been working closely with Millie and can offer tips to help both her and you settle in more comfortably. It typically takes dogs a few days to realize they are in a new home, weeks to feel at ease, and months to truly settle in. This process is an investment in a wonderful future together.
