Meet Pookie! This delightful 7-year-old male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix tips the scales at 16 pounds. Pookie embodies the essence of a sweet old soul, enjoying slow walks and cozy snuggles. Despite his gentle nature, he has a playful side that shines through when he interacts with others. Pookie was unfortunately abandoned in a forest in Texas along with 14 other dogs. Because he’s used to being around companions, he does not do well alone. Ideally, Pookie needs a home with another dog or a person who is home throughout the day to keep him company. Currently, he’s fostered with one of his former housemates, and they share a kennel happily. Pookie is good with kids, great with other dogs, and even friendly with cats. He is diligently working on potty training and making impressive progress! He’s microchipped, neutered, and up to date on all vaccinations.
