About Balto

Meet Balto, a fawn-colored boy with a big heart. Weighing in at about 30 lbs, he embodies the spirit of a baby deerโ€”nervous yet incredibly endearing. Itโ€™s been a journey for Balto, who seemed to have had little exposure to kind humans, but he's slowly blossoming in his foster home. After months of care, heโ€™s learning to trust people and is starting to enjoy affection. His playful spirit shines through when he wrestles with his small and medium foster siblings. Balto requires a home with a fenced yard as heโ€™s still a flight risk; supervision outside is essential. Ideally, he'll thrive with a social dog who can help him feel secure as he navigates his new surroundings. Besides his charming personality, Balto is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and even microchipped with lifetime registration. Potty and crate trained, he walks well on a leash but still needs continued training for commands and recall. Would you be the patient and loving family Balto is waiting for?
