About Tank

Meet Tank! This wonderful dog is a joy to have around. Though still young, he is already well-trained and knows how to be a good companion. Tank is loving, loyal, and eager to please. He came to us after his owner passed away, and despite his short time with him, he brought a lot of happiness. Since joining our rescue, Tank has quickly adapted and shown his affectionate nature. At around one year old, Tank is likely a mix of Hound and American Staffordshire Terrier, weighing about 58 pounds. He has a short coat that’s a striking combination of white and cream with splashes of black. Tank is vaccinated, dewormed, neutered, and microchipped, ensuring he’s all set for his new home. Tank has shown wonderful behavior at the vet and is friendly with everyone he meets. Initially a bit shy, he warms up quickly and loves being close to his people. He’s well-behaved at home, house-trained, and easygoing when it comes to being left alone for work. He plays well with dogs of all sizes, showing particular gentleness with smaller ones while enjoying a good romp with larger dogs. While we haven't tested him with cats, he seems adaptable and gentle in most situations. Tank has not been fostered with young children, but his calm demeanor suggests he would get along well, as he did with a 13-year-old he met at the vet. With a medium energy level, Tank enjoys playtime but also has a laid-back side. He needs daily mental and physical exercise, and he happily settles down after some play. Tank is sociable with other dogs during meal times and shares toys and treats without any issues. If you’re looking for a loving and loyal companion who can fit right into your home, Tank may be the perfect match for you! Vet and home checks required.
