About Bear

Meet Bear! This handsome young German Shepherd is looking for his forever home. At just 16 months old, Bear has a heart as big as his personality and an inspiring story of survival. Rescued from a heartbreaking situation, he overcame significant neglect. When Bear was found, he weighed only 35 pounds, but with proper care and love, he now thrives at 62 pounds. Bear is a friendly and playful lad, proving to be a great companion for kids and fellow dogs. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and fully vaccinated. While he enjoys the company of children and is sociable with dogs, his lively spirit means he’s not suited for homes with cats, as he does enjoy a good chase. With three weeks of professional training under his belt, Bear has proven to be obedient and eager to learn. He’s ready to impress his new family with his intelligence and affection. An ideal match for Bear would be an active household with a securely fenced yard and plenty of opportunities for exercise and fun adventures. Bear is not yet neutered, as his veterinarian has recommended waiting until he matures a bit more. Could you be the happy ending to Bear's story?
