About Daffy

Daffy is a 2-year-old neutered male Plott Hound mix weighing about 65 pounds. Rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, Texas, he’s now in a loving foster home and ready to find his forever family. This playful guy thrives on companionship and loves being active. He enjoys playing with other dogs and excels at doggy daycare, where he’s made the honor roll! While he’s great with dogs, his compatibility with cats isn't known. Daffy would shine in a home with other energetic dogs and a family that can keep up with his spirited nature. Due to his enthusiasm, he’d do best in a household with children over 10, as he can get a bit rambunctious. Fully house-trained and crate-trained, Daffy loves his crate as a safe haven. His enthusiasm shows during mealtimes, and he uses a slow feeder to enjoy his food at a steady pace. He’s eager to learn and respond to his name, so he’ll join you in games of catch and enjoys spending quality time by your side. Daffy is still mastering his leash manners and tends to pull, but with patience and guidance, he’s ready to learn the ropes. He has a mischievous side and may rearrange the yard if left unsupervised, so crating him while away is advisable. This loyal and energetic companion is looking for a loving home where he can continue to grow and bring joy. If you have an active lifestyle and playful pups, Daffy could be your perfect match. Get ready to welcome this wonderful boy into your life!
