About Wally
Meet Wally, a delightful 4-month-old male Blue Australian Cattle Dog with big ears and an even bigger heart. Abandoned at a Walmart in Arkansas, Wally is completely deaf, but that doesn’t slow him down. His magnificent ears might be just for show, but they haven’t hindered his ability to engage with the world around him. While other puppies play, Wally demonstrates his Cattle Dog instincts by herding and strategizing, all while managing those around him. Wally is exceptionally smart. He uses visual cues to understand commands like come, sit, down, and paw. This little guy thrives on mental stimulation, and he’s searching for a family willing to keep his brilliant mind engaged. Despite his ambition, he’s also a sweetheart who enjoys cuddles, kisses, and time with kids ages four and up. Wally is learning quickly and is about 90% potty trained, showing just how capable he is when given the chance to shine. Wally would thrive in a home with another playful dog to help him navigate his surroundings and alert him when it’s time to go outside or eat. A fenced yard is essential for his safe exercise and play, along with a commitment to his training and physical activity. Being a Cattle Dog, experience with the breed is preferred. He’s already demonstrated that he can be good in the car, crate, and on a leash as well. Wally might be a handful, but he’s worth every effort. You don’t need to hear to be a wonderful companion, and Wally is ready to show you just how rewarding life can be with him. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
