About Zuma
Zuma is a 4-year-old female Dogue de Bordeaux who was surrendered after her owner's difficult move. She loves being around children and has always done well in their company. While she thrives with larger, calm dogs, she should ideally be the only pet, soaking up your attention entirely. Zuma came to us with an old cruciate ligament tear in her left knee, which left her reluctant to move. Fortunately, an amazing veterinarian performed a TPLO surgery to help her regain comfort and mobility. During the process, it was discovered that Zuma also has hip dysplasia, but her weight loss journey is aiding her recovery. Initially weighing 160 lbs, she has already shed some pounds and is now at 153 lbs. The vet recommends getting her down to around 140 lbs for optimal health. Zuma has been spayed, is up to date with vaccinations, and is microchipped. She is currently on a recovery path for around eight weeks but is happy to meet potential adopters and go for short leash walks during that time. All follow-up vet visits will be covered until she is fully released for adoption. If you're eager to meet this gentle soul, please reach out! Your new best friend is just one click away.
