About Maple
Meet Maple! This beautiful, 5-month-old Dutch Shepherd mix weighs in at 32 lbs. She was found as a stray in an area known for dog breeding, arriving frightened and unsure of her surroundings. Since entering foster care on September 8, she's been on a transformative journey. With gentle care and patience, Maple has started to blossom, revealing her smart, curious, and playful personality. Maple loves her chew toys, enjoys exploring, and relishes belly rubs. Her adorable army crawl and expressive ears add to her charm, which can be a mix of perked up or relaxed, depending on her mood. She plays well with her Border Collie and Chihuahua foster siblings and is respectful of her elderly Pomeranian housemate. In the home, Maple is quiet and shows no signs of aggression. While she enjoys playtime, sheβs also content with some downtime. She's getting the hang of potty pads and is progressing towards outdoor potty training, though she may submissively tinkle when frightened. A gentle and understanding approach helps her feel secure. Maple needs a loving family that appreciates the time it takes to build trust and confidence. She is eager to learn puppy manners and would benefit from consistency and positive reinforcement along the way. Her foster mom has invested time in understanding Maple's needs and will be happy to assist her new family to ensure a smooth transition. Could you be the safe place Maple has been waiting for? Maple is current on vaccinations and will be spayed prior to adoption, excited to start her next chapter with her forever family! Ready to meet Maple? Apply now!
