About Nutmeg

Meet Nutmeg, a happy-go-lucky sweetheart who thrives on the simple joys of life. This girl loves giving kisses, soaking up human attention, and lounging at your feet. She’s incredibly sweet and enjoys meeting new people, happiest when close to her favorite humans. Though she enjoys a small walk, she’s perfectly content to relax afterward. Nutmeg is a champ in her crate and can fit in well in a home with or without another dog, as long as she receives plenty of love and attention. There are a few quirks to note: vacuums aren’t her favorite, and getting her into a vehicle might require a bit of coaxing. However, she settles in nicely once inside. She also likes to claim her toys, so it’s best to keep them put away when they're not in use, especially around other dogs. Nutmeg would do well with kids aged 12 and over, but she does not get along with small dogs. She has experienced a gunshot wound to her front left paw, which is mostly healed, but she will have lifelong arthritis in her wrist joint. While she’s been on pain meds, we can’t predict how her energy levels may change when she's off them. Nutmeg might just surprise you with a playful side too!
