Missy is a 2-year-old spayed female American Shorthair. She weighs around a small size and has a sleek black coat. Missy is house trained and up to date on vaccinations. Living in Tampa, FL, she is looking for a loving forever home where she can thrive, especially because she is FIV positive, but that's perfectly manageable with the right care.

About Missy

Meet Missy, a lovely black American Shorthair with short, shiny fur. She was rescued as a stray by the caring folks at the Great Ape Sanctuary when she was pregnant. After giving birth to four kittens, only two survived, but Missy has been a devoted mother. Playful and affectionate, she adores her little ones and is very attached to them. Missy has tested positive for FIV, which is manageable, and it’s safe for her to live with other cats, dogs, and humans. Inside, FIV-positive cats can lead long and healthy lives. Though she's protective of her kittens, she is indifferent towards her foster dog brother and gets along well with children. Now, it's time for Missy to find her forever home, ideally with one of her kittens. Consider welcoming this sweet mother into your family! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
