About Gracie

Meet Gracie, a housecat-in-training ready to embrace life outside of motherhood. This sweet, sensitive girl recently raised four kittens and proved to be a patient and gentle mom, endlessly tolerant of their playful antics. Now, as her little ones grow, Gracie is slowly discovering the joys of being her own cat, coming out of her shell a little more each day. Gracie is a bit shy and prefers to explore her surroundings at her own pace. She often hides under the bed when guests are around, using the night to venture out. While she might hiss at first, she has never swatted and will happily accept gentle head and chin scratches with a slow approach. If you remain quiet, she might even rub against you. Gracie is not a lap cat and isn't fond of being held, but she loves ear scratches and has a favorite toy mouse. Churus treats also help boost her courage! A calm home with understanding adopters will be best for Gracie, allowing her the time to settle in. Although she was excellent with her kittens, her compatibility with other adult cats, dogs, or kids is still unknown, making an adults-only household a suitable option for now. If you’re interested, her foster family welcomes home visits so you can meet her in her comfort zone.
