About Tookie

Tookie is a charming little mutt girl with a delightful personality! Although her exact breed mix remains a mystery, her unique and foxy appearance makes her stand out. She came from a high-intake shelter in Houston, homeless and heartworm positive, but her positivity and charm shone through, leading us to bring her into our care. Currently recovering from heartworm treatment and freshly spayed, she will soon make her way to Rhode Island where she'll be available for adoption. This affectionate girl loves to cuddle and is very intelligent. She enjoys being by your side without being overly clingy, and she's a fantastic companion for walks or runs. Remarkably, Tookie gets along well with other dogs, even those that are more particular. At a perfect medium size of about 30 lbs, she can thrive in various living situations, whether it's an apartment or a country home, making her a great fit for individuals or families alike.
