About MakiAto
MakiAto is your pocket-sized adventure buddy, ready to bring joy to your life! At almost 3 years old and weighing just under 25 lbs, this Heeler mix is full of energy and spirit. Maki loves to play, learn, and explore. She shares a close bond with her canine friend Miso and enjoys playing with dogs she's familiar with. When meeting new dogs, she prefers gradual introductions in friendly settings to ensure everyone is comfortable. Maki can be a bit reactive when unfamiliar dogs come too close on leash, so someone who understands dog communication would be ideal. Smart and eager to please, Maki is potty-trained and crate-trained, loving her cozy crate as a safe haven. She’s quick to learn new commands and thrives on mental engagement through training and fun activities. Maki does need some time to warm up to unfamiliar people. Thoughtful introductions and respecting her space are key. While she’s best suited for an adult home or one with older, dog-savvy kids, she craves companionship, playtime, and the chance to show off her clever tricks. A compatible dog buddy could enhance her experience too! Maki is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to start her next chapter with the right person or family who appreciates her active and affectionate nature. Could Maki be the sidekick you’ve been looking for? ❤️
