About Shorty
Meet Shorty, a cheerful and trusting five-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, weighing a petite nine pounds. Rescued from Texas, he’s now adapting well to city life. Shorty is playful and affectionate, showing moderate energy with a fondness for walks, followed by a cozy cuddle and nap. He quickly warms up to people and makes friends easily, becoming relaxed around guests after some settling time. He thrives on companionship, likely getting along well with another dog if they match. Shorty is house trained but is currently perfecting his apartment potty training with the help of diapers; his foster believes he’ll soon get the hang of it in a stable environment. This little guy enjoys his days filled with walks, tug-of-war games, and affectionate cuddles. He’s already learned to sit and waits patiently for his food, showing he can handle training well. Shorty would flourish in a home where he’s showered with love and where his new family enjoys games and a routine. He would do well in an apartment since he’s quiet and small, making him a lovely companion. This affectionate little boy is waiting for a loving family to call his own. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
