Meet Beetle! Beetle is a charming 2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix and weighs about 60 lbs. He’s neutered, house trained, and a total sweetheart. Known for his goofy demeanor, Beetle has a knack for winning hearts wherever he goes. He joins his foster family on walks to school and has become quite popular in the neighborhood, even earning treats from passersby. His playful side shines as he showcases tricks like “paw” and “down.” One admirer even affectionately called him the “Prince of River Edge.” When he’s in a calm mood, Beetle transforms into a cuddly love bug. He thrives on human interaction and loves to be close to those he adores. His playful personality adds a fun twist to everyday life. Beetle is improving his leash skills, though he currently shows some reactivity towards other dogs. With guidance from his foster family, he is learning to engage positively with his surroundings, often checking back with them for cues. A home with older children is ideal because of Beetle’s strength and size. His new family should be committed to working on leash training, social behavior, and ongoing basic commands. Although he has lived with another dog, they were not closely bonded. Beetle might be large, but he isn't fond of water—baths aren’t his favorite, either.
