About Bentley

Meet Bentley, a loyal and energetic Lhasa Apso/Maltese mix searching for his forever home. This sweet boy is neutered and filled with personality. Bentley thrives on playtime, especially fetch, and he truly enjoys being close to his people for cuddles. His former family, who adored him deeply, made the tough choice to rehome him due to his anxiety around young children. They want him to find a space where he feels safe and understood. Once Bentley trusts you, he transforms into a loving lap dog. He loves walks and is great on a leash. While he is playful and full of life, he has significant fear and anxiety when encountering new people. It’s essential to approach him with patience. He’s currently working with a trainer to manage his reactions to strangers. Once comfortable, he becomes a sweet and snuggly companion who wants to please. Bentley requires a calm, adult-only home. He’s best suited for someone experienced with anxious dogs who can help him build trust and provide a steady environment. He will flourish with a fenced yard and someone home often for companionship. Bentley is housebroken and crate trained, using potty pads as needed. His special needs stem from idiopathic epilepsy, managed with affordable medication.
