About Buddy

Buddy is a 7-year-old Black and Tan Australian Shepherd weighing in at 98 lbs. He and his buddy Rowdy were recently surrendered to a shelter when their elderly owner could no longer care for them. Though originally thought to need to be adopted together, Buddy has shown he can thrive separately. He enjoys chasing squirrels and navigates the doggy door effortlessly. His morning walks are a highlight, where he walks well on a leash. Since joining the program, he's already lost over 15 lbs and is dedicated to shedding another 15 to 20 lbs. Buddy is housetrained and hasn't needed a crate at his foster home. He alerts to new people without excessive barking, all while showcasing his affectionate nature. He needs an active home committed to maintaining his exercise routine. If you’re interested in bringing Buddy into your family, what are you waiting for? Apply today!
