Tadpole
AvailableTadpole is a large, male adult cat currently residing in Mason, MI. He has been neutered and is ready for a loving home. He previously lived with another cat, so he may appreciate a feline companion. His affectionate nature makes him an ideal pet for those looking to welcome a sweet boy into their lives.
About Tadpole
Tadpole came to the shelter alongside his friend Albacore after their owner was hospitalized and could no longer care for them. Both boys are very sweet and crave attention. Albacore has already found his forever home, and now it's Tadpole's chance! This friendly, affectionate guy longs for a loving home where he can thrive. Tadpole previously shared his space with another cat, so he might enjoy the company of a friendly feline friend in his new household. He has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) during his neuter surgery. Though this may sound concerning, FIV-positive cats can lead long and fulfilling lives. It primarily affects the immune system, making them more susceptible to infections, but with a stable indoor situation, nutritious food, and regular veterinary visits, many FIV-positive cats do wonderfully. FIV is mainly passed through deep bite wounds, so there's a very low risk of transmission in a peaceful home environment. If you're interested in adopting Tadpole and have other cats, we’re here to answer your questions about introductions. It's always a good idea to consult with a veterinarian as well.
