About Rocky

Meet Rocky, a charming cat who was initially meant to be part of a TNR (trap-neuter-return) program, but his trusting and friendly nature caught the attention of rescuers in Waterbury. Rocky is FIV+, but this diagnosis doesn’t define him. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives indoors, and Rocky is certainly more of a lover than a fighter. Foster Mom shares, “Rocky may need a bit of time to adjust to a new place, but once he trusts you, his affectionate personality shines. He greets you with sweet little meows, as if asking for a head scratch. After that, the purring kicks in. This cuddlebug is all about affection—he loves being petted and enjoys soaking up love from head to tail. His gentle nature is truly special; watching him relax and seek your attention is a beautiful experience. Just give Rocky some patience to feel comfortable, and you’ll discover the wonderful cat hidden behind any initial uncertainty. He’s ready for a safe home where he can settle in and be showered with the love he deserves.
