About Basalt
Meet Basalt, a charming little guy with an adorable heart-shaped nose. Among his siblings, he stands out as the most thoughtful, taking time to observe his surroundings before diving into playtime. You might catch him relaxing in bed long after everyone else has scampered off, or exploring new things around him. Basalt is sweet and loves to cuddle, making him a perfect companion. His journey began during NYCW Climate Week, and his name reflects themes of climate science, adding a unique twist to his personality. It's important to note that all kittens, including Basalt, need to be adopted as pairs or into homes with another young cat to prevent Single Kitten Syndrome. Currently, he’s available for foster-to-adopt as he completes his vetting process, scheduled for 11/6. Basalt must weigh at least 3 lbs before his neuter surgery can occur. He’s already cleared of parasites and has received half of his vaccinations. A foster-to-adopter will assist in his transportation for one or two appointments, and once he's fully vetted, the adoption paperwork can be finalized. This little guy is ready to be your new friend!
