Meet Josie, our longest resident still waiting for her forever home. At about 4 years old, this 35-pound pittie mix is a blend of love and loyalty. She’s playful and an ideal companion for both adventures and lazy days on the couch. Josie enjoys walks, hikes, beach outings, and fetch. Her favorite moments involve sitting in your lap, keeping watch over the yard, or gazing up at the night sky to spot bats. Josie is housebroken and crate trained. She knows basic commands like "sit" and "crate," while working on others such as "place" and "come." With her friendly demeanor, she makes a great walking companion but needs someone who will continue with her training. Please note that Josie prefers to be the only pet in the home, as she gets a bit too excited when greeting new people. An ideal setting for her would include a 6-foot privacy-fenced yard, though a considerate person living in an apartment can also be considered.
