About Denny at Fat Cat

Denny at Fat Cat is a wonderful adult kitty looking for her forever home. She’s healthy and thriving, but she is FIV positive. Don’t let that intimidate you! FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, is not as scary as it sounds. It’s similar to HIV in humans, but it doesn't show specific symptoms unless tested. Evolving knowledge shows that FIV+ cats can live full lives without significant issues and can cohabit safely with FIV negative cats. The virus is transmitted mainly through deep bite wounds, not casual interactions like sharing food or litter boxes. Denny may need a little extra care as a “special needs” cat, but that’s just an opportunity to shower her with extra love and attention. Her affectionate and friendly nature makes her a joy to be around. If you feel compelled to give this special girl a chance, visit Fat Cat Books for a meet and greet, or click to apply for adoption now!
