Meet Dude, a 4-year-old male Shepherd mix with a huge heart and a passion for walks. Dude was found as a stray in Somerset and later lived in a home for over a year. Sadly, due to circumstances beyond his control, he returned to the shelter. Dude has been adjusting to shelter life, though it’s been tough for him. He often whines in his kennel, longing for the attention and affection he loves so much. This sweet boy enjoys pets, cuddles, and quality time with his favorite people. The highlight of his day? Going for a walk! He thrives on exploring, running, and sniffing around. Dude is high-energy and needs a family dedicated to giving him regular exercise and plenty of outdoor time. Since he doesn't get along with other dogs, he'd need to be the only pet in the home. We can evaluate how he feels about cats if you're interested. Because of his energy, we recommend a home with children aged 12 and older. Dude has felt the warmth of a home before, and we want to help him find that joy again.
