About Colt

Meet Colt, the Lab mix puppy who deserves all the love and attention in the world! At about 12 weeks old as of October 2026, Colt was the last of his litter left at the shelter, not for lack of charm but due to the scars on his back. The origins of those scars are unclear, but they don't define him as a wonderful little soul full of life and affection. Colt is goofy, playful, and follows you everywhere you go. He’s a bit on the skinny side but is motivated by food, ready to grow into his full potential with a loving family. He plays beautifully with other dogs and is more than likely to thrive around children, showing all the typical traits of a Lab puppy—affectionate, fun, and full of puppy antics. Though he’s still mastering potty training, Colt has already learned how to use a doggie door, even if he’s not quite sure why it exists yet! It’s heartbreaking to think how something superficial could hold him back. Colt wants nothing more than to belong, to have a warm bed, backyard zoomies, and ample belly rubs. He's looking for someone who sees beyond the surface and believes in his worth. Ready to add Colt to your family? Let’s give him the forever home he’s been dreaming about. He’s waiting for you with a heart full of love!
