Meet Leonidas, a charming dog who has been patiently waiting for a loving home since July. He spent his life with one family, living harmoniously with kids and small dogs, so he knows how to be a good companion. When he wags his tail and greets people at his kennel, it’s hard not to be drawn in by his warm personality. Leonidas came to Hawaiian Humane after his past family could no longer care for him. He arrived with some significant hair loss and scaly skin, giving him a rough exterior that doesn’t reflect his gentle nature. Thanks to attentive care, including twice-weekly medicated baths, his coat is improving, and he’s recovering nicely from dental treatments. This affectionate senior is ready to find someone who appreciates him for who he is—a loving dog looking for a fresh start.
