About Butterball
Meet Butterball, a gentle Beagle who needs a patient and understanding home. This three-year-old boy is quite fearful and prefers the comfort of indoor life. He’s been known to enjoy the company of other dogs, which helps him bravely venture outside when accompanied. Butterball has been adopted and returned twice due to his anxiety, making it crucial that he finds a dog-savvy owner who can provide stability and help him build confidence. He requires a calm environment, ideally with a fenced yard, where he can thrive and learn positive behaviors. Recently, he has shown some anxiety when being leashed, leading to a bite in a previous home. It's important we find someone who understands dog behavior, so we can avoid such situations in the future. Additionally, Butterball is heartworm positive, but support will be provided by the shelter for his treatment. If you’re on the east coast and can help this special boy blossom, he’s ready to find his forever home. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
