About Mae

Mae arrived at the shelter on July 24, 2026, brought in by a caring community member. This gentle lady is seeking her new family, and her membership requirements are refreshingly simple: gentle pets, leisurely walks, and an appreciation for cozy naps. Mae is friendly and enjoys affection but values her alone time as well. She is the perfect housemate, settling easily on her bed and showcasing wonderful house manners. Mae enjoys a relaxed pace. Her ideal day includes some pleasant sniffing, a short stroll, and no rush to set speed records. She does have some special wellness needs; she recently had a dental procedure and now dines on gourmet wet food, avoiding hard kibble. Gently paced walks keep her comfortable, as her back and hips appreciate low-impact living. If your day sounds like fresh air followed by relaxation, Mae could be the perfect match. Don't forget to bring a leash and collar when you come to adopt!
