About Kiva

Kiva came to us on July 19, 2026, after being surrendered by her previous owner. This big-hearted, gentle lady has a spirit that lights up the room. Her loose, wiggly greetings and warm personality are bound to brighten anyone’s day. Kiva walks beautifully on a leash, relishing leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. After her walks, she looks forward to curling up in the coziest dog bed for some quality naptime. As a distinguished senior, Kiva is crate trained and does well when left alone, making her an easygoing companion. She thrives in a dog-free home, ideally with children aged eight and older who can be considerate of her arthritis. Though Kiva requires a bit of extra care for her age-related health issues, our shelter veterinary team will be available to guide you through the adoption process.
