Freya is a young, medium-sized female mixed breed dog from Yorkville, IL. Currently in good health, she's spayed, vaccinated, and house trained. With her lovely yellow and tan coat, she weighs between 50-55 lbs when fully fit. She's been a caring mother and is looking for a loving home.

About Freya

Freya is a nearly 2-year-old female mixed breed dog, ready to find her forever home. She arrived at the shelter heavily pregnant and has since become a wonderful mom to a litter of five healthy pups. Freya has been great with the staff throughout her journey and is adjusting well now as a proud mom. Medium-sized, she'll likely weigh between 50-55 lbs once she's back to her ideal body condition. Freya previously lived with other dogs and got along well with them. However, she hasn't been interacting effectively with strange dogs, likely due to her recent experiences as a mother. We're starting dog meet-and-greets to help her reintroduce herself confidently. While she lived with children in her last home, we now recommend a household with older children or adults for her comfort. Freya is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and now ready for adoption with her fee sponsored by a generous donor, making her FREE to an approved adopter. If you’re interested in making her part of your family, come visit her at the shelter in Yorkville, IL. She’s excited to meet you!
