About Fiji
Meet Fiji, a delightful 1-year-old female pittie/lab mix ready to find her forever home! Currently in a foster care in Houston, TX, she weighs about 53 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. Due to border patrol restrictions, her new family will need to meet her in Blaine, WA after filling out an adoption application. Fiji came to rescue as an owner surrender, having been part of a large group of dogs needing help. Now in a loving foster home, she’s become quite the social butterfly. Fiji gets along well with dogs and currently enjoys the company of multiple furry friends in her foster home. She’s also cat friendly and tends to leave them alone during her limited interactions. Fiji is a gentle soul when meeting new dogs and can be a bit shy, but her playful nature shines through once she feels secure. Active yet adaptable, she enjoys playing in the yard but is equally happy to cozy up on the couch for a movie night. Fiji is house trained and crate trained, showing she can be trusted to roam freely when her foster mom is away. Her future family should know that while Fiji is friendly with children and has grown up with kids aged 2 and 8, she would thrive in a home with children aged 8 and older due to her playful temperament. As she continues to build her confidence, Fiji would benefit from patient handlers and might appreciate another playful dog in her new home. If you’re interested in bringing this lovable girl into your life, please apply to adopt her!
