About Juice

Meet Juice, affectionately called Joey by his foster. This 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix, weighing around 56 lbs, carries a charm that can warm any heart. Juice has had a tough road but is now ready for a calm home where he can feel secure and loved. Although Juice can be shy with strangers, he opens up beautifully with time and gentle introductions. He enjoys being affectionate and cuddly, often resting his head on your arm – his unique way of expressing love. In his prior play dates with neighborhood dogs, like a larger husky, Juice demonstrated a bouncy play style. However, he has become more reserved around unfamiliar pooches and would thrive best as the only dog in a home where he can receive all the attention he desires. Juice is not suited for a home with cats, as he has a tendency to chase them. He is moderately active, enjoys daily walks, and is in the process of improving his leash manners. An understanding and patient owner will help him feel more secure. This sweet boy thrives on routine and stability, which has helped him make strides in his behavior. While he does have some food guarding instincts, this can be managed with respect for his boundaries. Juice sleeps well in his crate and has had some minor potty accidents; ongoing training will help him improve further. In a quiet home filled with gentle, patient adults, Juice can truly flourish. This sensitive soul just needs someone to make him feel safe and cherished. Open your heart to Juice and let him fill your life with love. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
