Meet Vondie! Vondie is an irresistibly cute 3-month-old hound mix with long, velvety ears and gentle brown eyes that will melt your heart. This sweet girl started her life on the streets, where survival was tough and food was scarce. She quickly learned to hide to protect herself from dangers lurking in her environment. Thankfully, Vondie got lucky when she was rescued and brought into a safe space. Initially terrified in her new surroundings, she hid and trembled, unsure of the changes around her. But food was a comfort; she eagerly gobbled up every meal, worried it might be her last. It didn’t take long for Vondie to realize she was safe and that meals here come regularly. As she settled in, she transformed from a scared puppy into a playful and loving companion who craves attention and praise. She plays joyfully with other puppies and is fascinated by her toys, clearly amazed that she gets to keep them. Vondie is making wonderful progress with her crate and house-training, and she's remarkably gentle with kids, cats, and dogs. She's smart and eager to learn, always looking to please. Having gone from the streets to the comforts of a loving environment, Vondie truly appreciates the joy of a soft bed and a full belly. Although she may require some time to adjust and trust her new family, her loyalty is unwavering once she finds her person.
