About Thelma

Meet Thelma! This sweet soul is approximately one year old and weighs around 25 pounds. Thelma, with her long, luxurious coat in shades of brown and chocolate with golden highlights, brings a lot of joy. Rescued while on the run with her sister, Louise, Thelma's personality shines once she decides you're worthy of her affection. Expect endless belly rubs and wagging tails once she warms up to you. At night, she transforms into a cuddly companion, often settling into laundry baskets or snuggling on the couch during the day. She walks well on a leash and is house trained, making her a lovely addition to any home. Thelma has been around older, well-mannered children and is looking for a family without young kids. A confident resident dog would help her adjust as she takes her time to settle in. If you want an instant connection, Thelma may not be the dog for you. A patient family familiar with socialization and acclimatization to new environments would be ideal. Palmetto Paws Animal Rescue is managing her adoption process, so if you’re ready to open your heart and home to Thelma, now is the time to apply!
