About Thor
Thor is a sweet boy who came from a terrible puppy mill case and is now experiencing life outside that environment for the first time. He spent most of his life with little socialization and exposure to normal everyday life. When he first arrived, he was understandably fearful and unsure of people and his surroundings. Thankfully, he's started gaining confidence, revealing more of his personality as he realizes he is in a safe space. He gets along well with other dogs and seems to thrive in their company. However, Thor has been returned several times due to biting incidents, which have caused broken skin. These bites occurred while he was learning how to adapt to life with people and unfamiliar situations. Therefore, he needs an adopter who is patient, understanding, and ready to support him through this adjustment process. He requires a commitment to help him succeed in his next home. At this time, Thor is not potty trained and will need continued training and consistency. Normal household life might be overwhelming for him initially. Secure doors, gates, fencing, and careful leash handling are crucial as he is a flight risk. He would thrive in a calm environment, ideally without children, where he can build his confidence at his own pace. Watching him grow more confident has been rewarding, but he needs someone who understands that his progress will take time and dedication to become the dog he was always meant to be.
