About Paloma

Meet Paloma, known affectionately as Lolo. This beautiful senior girl has had quite a journey, having been rescued from a large hoarding situation in Texas before arriving in Iowa. The conditions she endured are a mystery, but they surely affected her deeply. Despite her past, Paloma is a gentle and calm soul who seeks nothing more than a safe environment. She is initially shy and flighty, so she needs a patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time. Once she feels secure, her true personality shines through—she becomes affectionate and loves a good belly rub. Paloma keeps her kennel clean and is good with other dogs. A quiet home with structure and routine would be ideal for her. It’s important for her future family to provide her the necessary time to adjust, especially since she may not immediately reveal her sweet nature. Though Paloma has bladder incontinence, it's well managed with medication. After so much hardship, she deserves a loving home filled with comfort, gentle hands, and peaceful days. Could you be the safe haven she has been longing for?
