Meet Buffy, a charming chocolate Labrador/Standard Poodle mix who has just turned 11 years old. Weighing in at about 40 pounds, she's seeking a loving home that can provide the warmth and companionship she's known all her life. Having been part of her family since she was just 12 weeks old, the recent changes due to a family health issue are challenging for everyone involved. The most important thing for her previous family is that she finds love and care in her new home. Buffy is affectionate, gentle, and playful, truly a Velcro dog who enjoys being close to her people. She thrives in a quiet, nurturing environment where she can share in your everyday life. This clever girl knows a variety of commands and is highly motivated by treats, making her a joy to train. She's housetrained and can be comfortably left alone for about four hours at a time. At night, she prefers sleeping on a blanket near her loved ones. Buffy has experience living with children, and while she can be gentle with them, she may feel a bit anxious at times. She appreciates a thoughtful introduction to other dogs but isn't always the best with cats, as she has been known to chase them.
